DotA Life Story of MaeMae Part II (Shadow Behind the Girls)

I never expected that many of you will like the first one I wrote; My DotA Life Storyhttp://www.facebook.com/note.php?note_id=411716779431, and because of your very heart warming complements I finally came up with something(I think) more interesting. The Shadow befind DotA Girls.

A year ago, when I met Des.MyStyle and only few girl gamers were in the community, I came up to made a page DotA Girls http://www.facebook.com/pages/DOTA-Girls/288011622382, co-administrated by Des.MyStyle. I remember there were only few fans clicked it, that time the 'become a fan" button is in. Then I was so eager to have many people like it, I call Des for help, and because he is a Gold Member in Garena he entered each and every room just to paste the link of the page in the chat box. Till it become 500. I was so happy that moment. I cannot sleep. I remember Des and I were chatting til midnight just to check how many fans were in. He told me to sleep then, and promised me when I wake up its more than 1k.

"Ocake~"

When I woke up the next EVENING (coZ I really am nocturnal), I received a text message from Des telling he

got a surprise. So I ran the hell out of my room and checked the page, surprisingly(Oh,not anymore. Coz he already texted me) I found out its over 1k already. :D yeepee~ That page made me so happy. It became the center of my life that time. Posting stuffs related to DotA, chatting with other people bout this fcukin game, and meeting other girl gamers wanting to learn how to play DotA.

Until I became a member of HappyFeet Chickx (hfchix), yeah I got the PRIDE. I got this opportunity and made me so inspired to practice more. I actually made a banner, or should I call it Wallpaper? Of our cropped solo picture.http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=393762842382&set=a.454953892382.248379.288011622382 That was 10 of us, and because of a free slot something, I look for another girl gamer who can be part of that wallpaper. So I found Mie, she was so active posting stuffs on the page that time, and Des knows her. So I included her.

Well, going back to hfchix, obviously we have 10 members, Hazel, Angel, Kath, Kae,

Jenn, Mawley, Maria, Misa, Icah, and me. But the 1st 5 were the 1st 5 names I mentioned. While, Maria and Misa dont stay in Manila. Mawley, the 6th woman when Jenn is going lay-low. And me, the weakest one. :c HAHA

I dont like tournaments before, coz I know Ima be the black sheep, and of course Im giving them the stage coz they were the pioneer members. :) and in fact Im just waiting for my time of stardom. Haha just kidding.

Until JenJen Lolx is not active anymore, Mawley became one of the 1st 5, and I, the 6th man. Oh, Icah, she still lives in Bicol that time and its not easy for her to go to Manila for practice and tournaments. Owkay, LETS GO!!!

AMPGL or Alienware Mineski Pro-Gaming League Tournament happens every last weekend of the month (MARK YOUR CALENDAR haha). PMSki(counterpart Girl team of Mineski) is the greatest rival of HFChix (oh well, because that time the 2 teams were the only active girl teams in town). PMSki, headed by Elle; with Rea, Joy, Kat, and Miele.

2 teams went to a SHOWMATCH. It was board on WideScreen and the replay has been posted on mineski.net. But it didnt went to a start, PMSki ate us WHOLE. Well, no wonder, theyre the best girl team in town.

Okay girls time to practice more. Haha We joined Izest Tourney, Hazel is not around so Julz is in. With angel, kath, kae, and me. :3 We made it to the semis. That experience was so so awesome. Though we didnt get it to the finals.

From 10, 4 of us remain. But because of MISUNDESTANDING, Kae go lay-low, and all we have to do is look for 2members to fill it up and prepare for the MWDL or Mineski Women's DotA League Tournament. So, on a rush, a pregnant DotA addict Mamee Jenn, and Nheg came to the aisle to kick ass shit. :)) but because of the commotion happened on that Online tourney, it became a mess. Rather than take us to the right path of DotA world, enemies and rivalries approached. Imagine our 1st game with team L2K Licensed to Kill, full of trashtalk and bad words. Imagine from

a woman's mouth. :)) Then our second game with DDG Drop Dead Georgeous, yeah we lost. Hmm but I wont say anything na. Past is past. Haha

So that freakin tournament was muted.

And this preggy gamer Jenn with Nheg left the team.

So theres 3 of us left. :c So we decided to let the Team disband. (for a moment) sad! 

So I look for a past time job, left dota for awhile. But I cant help it. After my work I still go to play though I'm tired the whole day. :)) Well, thats a fact. You cant take Dota out of my life easily. 

Until, PMSki had this audition. Haha no, not dance audition, but Try-out. Theyre looking for another 2members, because pretty and sexy Katrina went lay-low, and for preparation for upcoming AMPGL Season Finale.

Oh girls, what are you waiting for? This is our opportunity to be back on the Ball Game. :)) Angel, hfchix's captain; Kath, founder; and Me the weakest one tried the try-out. :))

So we should be at M.I by 9pm, from work I ran to MI with Mikel. With my pinky uniform and stockings. :)) Wew, am nervous. Good thing Kath and Angel were there. But I really still didnt know what to do. Elle, gave me a form to fill up. Like, personal infos etc. 

"That's it?", I asked.

"Go to the back page.", Elle answered.

"WTF!" , me shocked.

There were about 5 or 6 questions, simple but HARD TO ANSWER QUESTIONS.

Hmm, whatever. I'd write whatever comes to my mind. :))

After 2hours, haha no, maybe half an hour, while Angel and Kath were on the hands on stage already, I'm done.

Because I'm takin the support role, I wont take the 1v1 stage with Joy. :)) YESSS!

I just took the creepings stuff. I got 64/100. Haha weak!

And thats it. We'll wait for the result coz the next day, next batch will be aboard.

Okay, back to work!

After 2 or 3 days, Elle told me that I got qualified, as well as Angel. I didnt expect it. Before I tried-out Im not expecting any. I remember I said, having the opportunity to be invited in PMSki try-out is a great experience already.

Hello PMSki.angeL, and Mae. Hello Underground Training. For almost every day we take practice via Garena and once a week via LAN at MI. That was the exciting part of being PMSki. Though we lost all the time competing with boys, its nice. I learned alot from it.

But being a member of PMSki has alot of presure. All eyes on you. Every move you made. Every mistake you made is remembered. But the best thing is The moments weve shared. And the things I've learned.

Teka! Di pa nga tapos nagddrama na eh. :))

Game! After that bloody epic underground training, its time to release all the things we learned and practiced. AMPGL Season Finale is here. Of course before the game starts, PICTURE PICTURE. :3 Before, I only see them on sites, now I'm with them. And taking pictures with them. :) This is a good start.

First time I'll play in AMPGL, First time I'll play for PMSki. We battled with Team StaticX, Theos Girls, and DDG. We won! We won the women's bracket.

Until something happened to the point I have to leave the team.

But as I've said, I cherished every moment. I value everything. I thank them for the experience and the moments. For the laughs, foodtrips, chats, etc. 

So Season Finale has ended. This January another tournament will rise up your tention. Mark your calendar. January 29, 2011. See you there. :)

Btw, this is not yet the end of the world for me. I think this is just the start of my journey. A year has passed, and heres a new year for everyone. :) I am still active playing DotA, joining Pacific Mini Tournament every sunday is a nice habit. :)) With team XOXO, Love. This is the 2nd chapter of my DotA life story, but totally not would be the last one. :)

Dota Life Story of Mae :3

Nakakatuwang isipin at pagnilaynilayin ang mga panahon natuto at namulat ako sa larong DOTA. Ganito yan. :)

Since gradeschool, I used to spare my time surfing the net, and then meet the Ragnarok Online Phenomena early in highschool. From then on, RO revolves around my life like the sun as the source of Earth's Energy. O2Jam, Pangya, Rakion, Battle Realms, Audition, but only RO stood up.

I had a boyfriend way back in highschool who wastes his time making "pustahan" with his friends in this game so called DOTA(Defense of the Ancients) usually at CYBR-MCU(the old one) which unfortunately a few steps away from my Alma Mater Manila Central University. Well I have no choice that time, and all I can do is to wait for him until they finish playing so we can go home already.

After an hour, two? Or three? Finally, they're done. Almost everyday LIKE THAT. :3 So there's this curiosity came to my little mind :)) "Pano laruin yan?".

"Parang Ragnarok lang yan.", sabi nya.

"Ano parang Ragnarok jan? Eh ang layo naman.", hirit ni Mae.

(Leche, bahala na nga)

I remember they won a game that time so they start up this noisy atmosphere. Yelling, screaming, laughing, and chatting the hell about that game which I cannot understand that stupid time. I was like sitting at the corner, looking outside, RAIN

Then my boyfriend came up to me with Kuya Mike, a medicine student, friend and his co-DOTA player and said;

"Bat di mo turuan si Ma-E magDOTA? Para nakikipustahan na rin sa atin. Haha.(may haha pa talaga)

"Haha, sige NEXT TIME. Uwi na kami ee. Razor no para di sya mahirapan.", sabi nya.

"Sino yun?", nagtatakang Mae.

Ako ay lumapit at nagpacute este nakichikka. Yun pala ay matagal ng magkakilala ang mga mokong. Ako ay O.P for short.

As usual, usapang DOTA. Ano bang malay ko dun? Hanggang sa nagkayayaan sila magDOTA at ako ay O.P nanaman. Sweet si Kim dahil ako ay niyaya nya kahit alam nyang di ako nagdoDOTA(taenang dota). Kunwari ako ay pakipot at sinabing "Ayoko! Di ako marunong nyan."

At infairness, sa pagiging focus ko ay nakapatay ako. >:)) napakalakas pala talaga nitong Traxex na ito. Subalit napansin ko lang na wala syang leeg. Ulo, tapos boobs agad. Ako ay nagtaka sa mga panahong iyon. Ngunit di ko na ito inantala at ako ay tumutok muna sa aking malakas at nangangatay na hero.

"Ano pa bibilhin ko?", nasabi ko ata ang mga salitang ito 999x sa larong iyon.

"Power Threads, basahin mo kung pano buuhin", ani Emak.

"Ahhh. Eto nakita ko na.", pagturo ko sa cursor ay lumabas ang isang paragraph at mga kung anu-ano, di ko na ito binasa at pinindot ko na lang ang left pindutan ng mouse.

"Ayan, nabili ko na.", masayang Mae threads na.

Tinignan ni Emak ang aking LCD monitor at tumawa. Hahahaha daw. Ako ay nagtaka, at my nakitang kulay puti sa 6squares na mistulang PAPEL. Pinagtawanan nila ko lahat. Masaya sila eh. Engot na ko. Huhu

Dalawang boots daw ang bibilhin at isang gloves(naalala ko ang nimble gloves ng Gypsy ko). Isang pula at puti na medyo nangingitim na sapatos. Maduming sapatos ikanga. Ito ay tumatak na sa isip ko at nangako sa sarili na di na kakalimutan ng di na mapagtawanan. Huhu ulet

Matapos ang Power Threads na yan ay Dominator naman daw. Helm of Dominator. Waw! Angas ng pangalan, pangmalakas.

Bwahaha sa tulong ng isang stranger sa Luna na nagpapacute sa cute kong character, si Michael Alvarez, na kilala rin sa pangalang Des.MyStyle. Nakanang! =)) hanggang sa pinilit nya ko, as in pilit talaga na kunin ang aking email address. Ako ay nagpakipot at sinabing, "boost mo muna ko sa Golem,palevel 20 lang ako". =))

Nung naglevel 25 na ko. Ako ay nagsawa sa di malamang dahilan. Ako ay nagDOTA sa GG. Ang status ko sa YM ay "DOTTAAA". At lagi kong pinagkakalat sa Facebook kapag ang lakas ng Traxex ko. Kaya nalaman ni Des na nagdodota pala ko, akala nya ay malokos ako maglaro. Naglaro kami at napagtanto nyang hindi pala. =)) Ilang beses din naulit ang mga pangyayaring iyown.

Patuloy pa rin akong naglaro sa pamamagitan ng Garena at nakalaro si cT^rObz^hyhy ganyan ba un? Ewan ko sa kanya kung bakit nya ko chinikka at nakuha rin ang email add ko. Huhu napagtanto namin na magkalapit lang pala kami ng tahanan at ayun. Naglaro ng naglaro.

Nang isang araw ay dumayo sila Barry kasama ang kanyang mga bataang sila Hide, Paul, si Champi ba ung kasama nyo nung unang punta nyo? At may pretty Ella pa dito samin. Pustahan.

Palag palag naman ang mga team R.papa =)) na sila Zytho at kung sinosino jan. Haha dahil alam nilang butaw lang si Barry na binubugbog lang ni Yuuki dati. Ngunit nagulat ang lahat sa ipinakitang galing ng team Barry. Ang lokos~ talo ang team r.papa.

Nawalan kami ng communication ng mahal kong unggoy nung highschool at ngayon ay bumalik sa pamamagitan ng DOTA. Mula non ay sinasali na nila ko sa mga practice game nila sa GG. Ako ay dakilang alipin na support sa hitter at AMO naming si Barry. :c at nakilala ko na sila Paul, Pher, Champi ng lubusan. Nakilala ko rin si Amatz, na malaki ang PUSO @.@, na matagal ko na pa lang kilala pero di ko na maalala. =)) si fafable Mikki Viado rin na sikat nung highschool ako ngunit nito ko lang nakilala.

Napatambay na ko ng PDR 8 o Philippines DOTA Room 8 nun. Kumbaga ang dating LuxuriousMae, ngayon ay ~xoxo|.Mae na. Weh?

Lumawak na ang mundo ng dating simpleng engot na mundo ng DOTA na kinaiinisan ko noon.

Madami nakilala,makilala pa, naging kaibigan, magiging kaibigan, nakaaway, makakaaway at marami pang iba.

I never thought about going this far(kahit di pa naman ganun kalayo nararating ko). I just didnt expect much on this game unlike sa RO.

Dati, I just play DOTA to blew my curiosity away. Pero ngayon IT isn't just a game, ITS a passion na nga daw sabi nila, but lemme add;

It isnt just a passion, its also a page of my life's story that can never be erased. :)
